ABB and BEE

ABB supports the government’s BEE policies. We believe that BEE, if implemented correctly, is an economic and a social imperative, a necessary condition for South Africa to unleash its full potential. Accordingly, we have implemented our own strategy, which rests on four pillars; • Facilitating equity ownership by black investors at the ABB holding company level • Innovative joint ventures with black entrepreneurs and communities • Promoting the development of small and medium enterprises through training and affirmative procurement. • Supporting employment equity, affirmative action and skills development programmes.
