The goup decided to further break into two groups and tackle the two takeouts:
How industrialisation could be changing;
- Energy - dramatic shift
- New tech in mining, also potential in other resources that can make up opportunities (coal - battery)
- The future of mobile apps - youth opportunities
- Future leadership - an ongoing discussion on whats coming vs dealing with it as it arise.
Regional integration in mining;
- Government lobbying
- Local investment needed. Results in substitutes for minerals
- Compliance with international standards can help integration
- Value chains at regional level
- Solution: better info sharing system
