Sanlam Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) Programme

The programme has three projects and focuses on developing business capacity within our distribution network (projects 1 & 2) as well as our supply chain with selected suppliers (project 3).
Distribution Development
Project 1 - Catalyst
With Project Catalyst we aim to develop and transform Sanlam’s distribution capability. We do this through specialist business development support to financial planning practices using the Centre of Influence (accountant relationship building) methodology. The implementation arm of the project will further create a pipeline to develop black-owned practices through the Catalyst Audit process in the years to come.
Project 2 - Blue Star
With Blue Star we strive towards developing and transforming Sanlam’s distribution capability. This is done through specialist practice management training to financial planners, which enables them to achieve BlueStar accreditation and empower their businesses with practical management toolkits, skills and knowledge. The implementation arm of the project will further create a pipeline to develop black-owned financial planning practices through the Catalyst Implementation process within the following years.
Supplier Development
Project 3 - Accelerator
Our Accelerator project aims to develop and transform Sanlam’s supply chain by giving leading practice growth support, incubation and investment funding to identified and chosen SMEs within Sanlam’s supply chain and target market. The business development arm of the project will further create a pipeline to develop black-owned enterprises through the Accelerator mentorship process in the next few years.
